We left our quiet country abode for a week in the busy city. Anton’s mom had a week of vacation so we spent some time with the parents.
The first few days were spent at a couple of different beaches. The boys absolutely loved playing in the waves and literally spent hours jumping over and into them. Anya’s first experience at the beach was a joyous one! She couldn’t believe all of the sand she had to play in and also enjoyed the waves immensely.

The rest of the week was packed with different activities and outings. A day trip to the Botanical Gardens, celebrating Gennadiy’s birthday, a trip to Governors Island, China Town, Coney Island, and more beach trips were just some of the highlights of the week. Everyone is happy, several shades darker, and tired! Whew!!! I’m tired just remembering everything! (Being in the city entails lots of walking and being in the hot sun so I opted out of several ventures and let Baba take some of the older ones.)

We have also been dealing with all of the house closing paper work and such. The closing date is August 23rd which we are all very excited about! We’re very thankful to be able to get in before baby comes as that was a big question in the beginning.
We’re happy to be getting back to the quiet country house as a week in NYC is a bit tiring with all of the hustle and bustle. There’s a quick update for you all!
