I have a lot to catch up on! August 22nd welcomed our 5th baby boy, Ilia! The Gonopolskiy boys basketball team has been officially made! And Anya will continue to reign as the one and only princess.

The closing on the house ended up being delayed for another month, which worked out to be for the best as Ilia and I were able to get lots of rest. Anton had an opportunity to go up to Kodiak, AK for some work. He was gone for three looonnnggg weeks….working very hard. But in his spare moments, he was able to see old friends and had a good time staying with his brother and family.
Closing day finally came and we drove four hours to the office and signed all of that fun paperwork. What a relief it was to walk out of that office with, well…no keys since those responsible for that important part of the process, had forgotten them. All kidding aside, it really was a relief to officially close and we were able to get into the house just fine. We are so thankful and blessed for getting this amazing house. It’s a Greek Revival style home on three acres. Built in the 1850’s, it has so much character and history. It needs a little paint and such but was definitely move-in-ready. We love our little town and everyone has been so friendly and welcoming. We’re right on Main Street but can step out our backdoor into the country.

The week we moved in was very busy! My parents and sister with her family came for a wonderful few days visit. Anton’s family and Ilia’s godfather arrived for the weekend as we also planned Ilia’s baptism for while my parents were here. What a wonderful time it was, and quite sad when everyone had gone.

Well, there’s a quick update for you all! I hope to share all of our house renovations with you as well. I’ve been documenting several projects already with pictures! Ta ta for now!
Hi, Sarah and family!
So glad to hear all the news and see the photos of the kids and of Ilya’s baptism. I’ll look forward to the projects and house renovations, too. It looks like a beautiful area and lots of room for the family to grow!
Lots of love,
Alexandra
